Finnish Mubashar Ali (213-C/F) had a great game in the last round for Al Khor and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14. The had a double-double of 30 points and 24 rebounds, while his team outclassed Al Wakrah (#5, 7-7) with 26-point margin 107-81. Al Khor maintains the 9th position in Qatari QBL. The season is in a full swing, so it's only a dream for the team to make it into top half of the standings. For contrary they may face relegation if the situation turns from bad to worse. Al Khor have already lost 13 games and recorded just two victories. In the team's last game Ali had a remarkable 70.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be Al Khor's top player in his first season with the team. Florida Memorial University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Ali leads league in rebounds with 13.1rpg. Ali is in league's top in and averages solid 1.5bpg.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another Al Khor's star - young American guard Tyree Crump (185-G-1997, agency: BIG). Crump impressed basketball fans with 41 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. Of course together with Ali he helped Al Khor with another comfortable win outscoring the higher-ranked Al Wakrah (#5, 7-7) 107-81. Despite this victory they still are the league outsider. 13 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Al Khor managed to get this year. Crump is a newcomer at Al Khor and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.9ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 6.1rpg and 4.8apg.
The third best performed player last round was American Tyler Harris (208-C-1993, agency: AG Sports Solutions) of Al Shamal Doha (#8). Harris got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for eleven rebounds . Despite Harris' great performance the Al Shamal lost 79-87 to the higher-ranked Al Arabi (#2, 12-3). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Al Shamal not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 9 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Harris could try to bring Al Shamal's a little bit higher in the standings. Harris has individually a great season in Qatar. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.8ppg (5th best) and rebounds with 10.5rpg (4th best). Harris attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.
