Experienced Senegalese Mouhammad Faye (207-F/C-1985) had an amazing evening in the last round for Al Rayyan Doha and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 38-year old power forward had a double-double of 27 points and 18 rebounds, while his team beat Al Gharafa (#4, 7-5) 89-80. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Al Rayyan is placed at 3rd position in Qatari QBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Al Rayyan will need more victories to improve their 7-4 record. In the team's last game Faye had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He turned to be Al Rayyan's top player in his first season with the team. Southern Methodist University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Faye is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 12.7rpg) and averages solid 2.6bpg,62.1% FGP and 42.4% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Senegalese center Adama Diakhite (205-C-1997) of Al Gharafa Doha. Diakhite impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 23 points and 14 rebounds. Of course he led Al Gharafa to another comfortable win 83-66 over the lower-ranked Al Khor (#9, 1-10) being unquestionably team leader. Despite this victory Al Gharafa slide down in the standings to 4th position. His team's 7-5 record is not bad at all. Diakhite is a newcomer at Al Gharafa and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Mohamed Hussein (203-C-1996) of top-ranked Al Arabi Club Doha. Hussein got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for five rebounds . He was a key player of Al Arabi, leading his team to a 89-60 easy win against the lower-ranked Al Wakrah (#5, 6-5). Al Arabi confirms their top position in the standings. Hussein has a very solid season. In 11 games in Qatar he scored 10.7ppg.
