Senegalese Power forward Mouhammad Faye (207-F/C-1985) had a very impressive game in the last round for Al Rayyan Doha, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 38-year old player had a double-double of 23 points and 18 rebounds, while his team outclassed Al Khor (#9, 1-9) with 43-point margin 94-51. Al Rayyan maintains the 3rd position in Qatari QBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Al Rayyan will need more victories to improve their 6-3 record. In the team's last game Faye had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Al Rayyan's top player in his first season with the team. Former Southern Methodist University star has very solid stats this year. Faye is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 12.4rpg) and averages impressive 2.7bpg,62.5% FGP and 41.5% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young Nigerian Uchenna Iroegbu (183-PG-1996) of Al Shamal Doha. Iroegbu had a very good evening with 31 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. Bad luck as Al Shamal lost that game 89-98 to the higher-ranked Al Gharafa (#4, 6-4). Al Shamal is still second from the bottom in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-7 record. Iroegbu is a newcomer at Al Shamal, but is already one of team's top players. Former Stony Brook University star Iroegbu is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Walter Lemon Jr. (191-G-1992) of league's second-best Al Arabi Club Doha. Lemon Jr. showcased his all-around game by recording 26 points, seven rebounds and seven assists in the last round. He was a key player of Al Arabi, leading his team to a 111-90 easy win against the lower-ranked Al Sadd (#8, 2-8). Al Arabi is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 8-2 record is not that bad... The season just started for Lemon Jr. as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
