Iroegbu's 34-point game gives him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

27-year old Nigerian point guard Uchenna Iroegbu (183-PG-1996) had a great game in the last round for Al Shamal Doha and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
He had the game-high 34 points adding four rebounds and six assists for Al Shamal in his team's victory, helping them to beat Al Khor (#9, 1-8) 95-84. Al Shamal is placed at 7th position in Qatari league. Al Shamal is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 3-6 record. In the team's last game Iroegbu had a remarkable 83.3% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He turned to be Al Shamal's top player in his first season with the team. Uchenna Iroegbu averages just after two games 23.5ppg and 4.5apg. Worth to mention Iroegbu played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

Second best performed player last round was Nedim Muslic (196-F-1998) of Al Gharafa Doha. He is naturalized Bosnia and Herzegovina forward in his 9th season at Al Gharafa. In the last game Muslic recorded impressive double-double of 16 points and 16 rebounds. It was enough for Al Gharafa to edge Qatar Club (5-4) by 5 points 84-79. This victory allowed Al Gharafa to move up to 4th position in the standings. His team's 5-4 record is not bad at all. Muslic is one of the most experienced players at Al Gharafa and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Mohammed Abbasher (198-F-2004) of league's leader Al Ahli Sports Club Doha. Abbasher scored 18 points and grabbed thirteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Al Ahli, leading his team to a 79-70 win against #2 ranked Al Arabi in a game of the week. Al Ahli confirms their top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 2 lost games. Abbasher has a very solid season. In 9 games in Qatar he scored 17.6ppg. He also has 8.1rpg, 3.3apg and FGP: 63.0%.
