McGlynn's 36-point game gives him Player of the Week award

31-year old American guard Patrick McGlynn (188-G-1992) had an amazing evening in the last round for Al Gharafa Doha and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
He had the game-high 36 points adding five rebounds and six assists for Al Gharafa in his team's victory, helping them to crush Al Wakrah (#6, 3-3) with 22-point margin 98-76. Al Gharafa is placed at 4th position in Qatari league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Al Gharafa will need more victories to improve their 4-3 record. In the team's last game McGlynn had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range and got eight three-pointers out of 13 attempts. He turned to be Al Gharafa's top player in his first season with the team. Patrick McGlynn averages just after two games 28.0ppg, 8.0rpg and 5.5apg.

Second best performed player last round was Adama Diakhite (205-C-1997). He is Senegalese center in his first season at Al Gharafa. In the last game Diakhite recorded impressive double-double of 24 points and 13 rebounds. Of course together with McGlynn he helped Al Gharafa Doha with another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Al Wakrah (#6, 3-3) 98-76. This victory allowed Al Gharafa to move up to 4th position in the standings. His team's 4-3 record is not bad at all. Diakhite is a newcomer at Al Gharafa and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to Darryl Owens of Al Sadd Sports Club Doha (#7). Owens got into 30-points club by scoring 35 points in the last round. He went also for seven rebounds . Despite Owens' great performance Al Sadd lost 75-78 to the higher-ranked Al Gharafa (#4, 4-3). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Al Sadd not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 4 games, recording just two victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Owens could try to bring Al Sadd's a little bit higher in the standings. Owens has individually a great season in Qatar. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 5.0apg (6th best).
