Al Shamal Doha (QBL) added to their roster 30-year-old American center Tyler Harris (208cm-103kg-1993, college: Auburn, agency: AG Sports Solutions) for the new 2024 season. Harris played last season at Al Jaish in the Syrian SBL league. He helped them to make it to the semifinals.

In the previous (2021-22) season he played at Trouville in Uruguayan LUB where in 8 games he had very impressive stats: 15.4ppg, 6.1rpg, 1.4apg, 1.1spg and 1.0bpg in that year.

In 2017 (a year after his graduation) he was drafted by Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario (G-League) in the first round (25th overall).

Harris graduated from Auburn University in 2016 and it will be his eighth season in pro basketball.

He is quite an experienced player. Harris' career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in nine different countries. Harris tasted life as a pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Argentina (Penarol), Colombia (Bucaros), France (Metropolitans), Japan (Sendai 89ers), Saudi Arabia (Ittihad), NBA (LA Clippers), Qatar (Al Gharafa), NBA G League (Cleveland Charge and Windy City Bulls) and NBA Summer League (Denver Nuggets).

The list of past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted Asia-Basket.com All-Qatar D1 Center of the Year in 2022.

Harris is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered the top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. He played also for Providence College for 2 years.
