Al-Gharafa-Doha (QBL) tabbed 27-year old American 186cm guard Byron Ashe (college: Longwood). Ashe played recently at Al Sadd.
He has played previously professionally in Iraq (Nift Al-Shamal) and United Arab Emirates (Al Wahda).
Among many awards he won Qatari League championship title in 2022. Ashe was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Qatar D1 1st Team in 2022.
He graduated from Longwood College in 2018 and it is his fifth season in pro basketball.
