Saeed's 22 points and 9 rebounds give him Player of the Week award- February 9, 2022
He had the game-high 22 points adding nine rebounds and three assists for Al Wakrah in his team's victory, helping them to beat Al Arabi (#6, 4-5) 75-63. It allowed Al Wakrah to take over top position in the Qatari league. Al Wakrah have a solid 8-2 record. In the team's last game Saeed had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Al Wakrah, through which he has constantly improved. Erfan Saeed averages this season 11.0ppg and 5.3rpg. Second best performed player last round was Nedim Muslic (197-F-98) of Al Gharafa. He is naturalized Bosnia and Herzegovina forward in his 7th season at Al Gharafa. In the last game Muslic recorded impressive double-double of 25 points and 14 rebounds. Of course he led Al Gharafa to another comfortable win outscoring slightly higher-ranked Al Shamal (#4, 6-3) 88-66. This victory allowed Al Gharafa to move up to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 5-5 record is not bad and everything may still change. Muslic is one of the most experienced players at Al Gharafa and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. Third place about best performers goes to guard Willie Warren (193-PG-89, agency: Interperformances) of Al Shamal (#4). Warren showcased his all-around game by recording 22 points, ten rebounds and ten assists (!!!) in the last round. Despite Warren's great performance Al Shamal lost 66-88 to slightly lower-ranked Al Gharafa (#5, 5-5). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Al Shamal needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 6 victories and 3 lost games. Warren has a great season in Qatar. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 24.1ppg (8th best) and assists with 10.1apg (2nd best).
