Al Shamal adds Bjelica to their roster, ex Mornar

Milko Bjelica

Al Shamal Doha (D1) added to their roster experienced 37-year old Montenegrin-Serbian international forward Milko Bjelica (207cm-112kg) for new 2021-22 season. Bjelica has played for the last two seasons at Mornar in Montenegrin Erste Liga. He managed to play in three leagues last year. The team played in three different competitions (!!!) that year, and he had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. In 11 Eurocup games he recorded just 2.6ppg and 1.2rpg. Bjelica also played 20 games in ABA League where he averaged 5.2ppg and 2.5rpg. And finally he contributed to 3 games in Erste Liga where he got 12.3ppg, 4.3rpg, 2.0apg and 1.3spg.
He represented Montenegro at the Qualifications to European Championships 2015 seven years ago. His stats at that event were 2 games: 5.0ppg, 5.0rpg.
Bjelica is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Germany (Braunschweig and Koeln 99ers), Japan (Alvark Tokyo), Lithuania (Rytas), Spain (Baskonia and Zaragoza), Turkey (Efes and Dacka) and Serbia (Crvena Zvezda). Bjelica played in the final of Montenegrin League in 2021. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Montenegrin League 2nd Team in 2021.
It's very possible he may end his playing career at Al Shamal.
