Harat is back at Al Shamal for GCC, ex GS Petroliers

Mohamed Harat

Al Shamal Doha (D1) agreed terms with 31-year old Algerian international forward Mohamed Harat (198cm) for GCC. It is actually his comeback to Doha as he has played here before. Harat played last season at GS Petroliers in Algerian D1 league. In only one Basketball Africa League game he recorded very impressive stats: 28 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals. Harat also played for Al Fateh in Saudi Arabian SBL where in 15 games he had also remarkable stats: 29.1ppg, 17.1rpg, 4.4apg and 1.4spg.
Harat has been also a member of Algerian international program for some years. He has regularly played for Algerian senior team since 2011 and previously for U18 National Team in 2008.
Harat represented Algeria at the Afrobasket Championships in Rades (Tunisia) six years ago. His stats at that event were 7 games: 16.9ppg, 6.1rpg, 1.3apg, FGP: 57.6%, FT: 67.7%.
Harat has played also professionally in Bahrain (Al-Manama), Morocco and Qatar (Al Rayyan and Al Arabi).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Harat won Algerian League championship title in 2009, 2012 and 2018. He was also voted Afrobasket.com All-African Champions Cup 1st Team back in 2017.
