Al Wakrah lands Brandon Spearman, ex Kauhajoki

Al Wakrah (D1) landed 29-year old American swingman Brandon Spearman (191-91kg-91, college: Hawaii). He supposed to play at Karhu Kauhajoki in Finnish Korisliiga, but left the team in Dec.'20. In 10 games he averaged 14.1ppg, 2.5rpg, 1.9apg and 1.0spg this season. The last season Spearman played at Al Gezira (Superleague) in Egyptian league where in 46 games he had very impressive stats: 17.4ppg, 4.4rpg and 1.9apg.
And here thanks to pro basketball Spearman experienced life on three different continents. He is familiar with European, African and of course North American leagues. Spearman has played previously professionally in France (Entente Orleans 45), Germany (Gladiators, Rist Wedel and Science City Jena) and Czech Republic (Pardubice).
His team was regular season runner-up in Czech Republic League in 2018.
He attended previously one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on he way to pro basketball.
Spearman attended University of Hawaii until 2014 and it is his seventh season in pro basketball.
Let's have closer look into His outlook: Brandon is a great leader and does a great job of getting his teammates involved in offensive play. Brandon is a very good shooter from 3pt range and is a good finisher in the open court as he can absorb contact and finish in traffic. Brandon sees the floor and can run a team at a high level without a doubt. Brandon is a tough defender with quick hands and can defend any ball screen situation with ease. He also has a high Basketball IQ and does great job recognizing favorable match-up situations.
