Al Rayyan lands Michael Efevberha

Al Rayyan Doha (D1) tabbed experienced 36-year old Nigerian international guard Michael Efevberha (195-93kg-84, college: CSUN). He started the season at AS Sale in Moroccan D1 league. The last season Efevberha played at Al Shamal in Qatari D1 where in two games he averaged impressive 25.5ppg, 8.5rpg and 3.5apg. He also played for Al Riyadi (LBL) in Lebanese league. In two games he had very remarkable stats: 25.5ppg, 8.5rpg and 3.5apg. The other team Efevberha played shortly was JA Vichy in French ProB. In 7 games he recorded 14.7ppg, 3.3rpg and 2.1apg. He helped them to make it to the French ProB Leaders Cup Semifinals. Another team Efevberha played briefly was Champville (LBL) in Lebanese league. In two games he got 13.5ppg, 6.5rpg and 3.0apg.
In 2006 he was drafted by Idaho Stampede (D-League) in first round (112th overall).
The former California State University Northridge standout is in his 15th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
Efevberha also played at the WABA Club Championships four years ago.
He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball Efevberha experienced life in ten different countries playing on four different continents. He is familiar with European, Asian, Australian and of course North American leagues. Efevberha has played previously professionally in China (Blue Whales, Flying Tigers and Chongqing), Dominican Republic, Israel (Bnei Hasharon), Korea (LG Sakers and Anyang KGC), New Zealand (Saints), Russia (Spartak Primorie Vladivostok), Switzerland (Monthey), France (Cholet Basket), Lebanon (Beirut Club, Sagesse and Homentmen) and Czech Republic (Nymburk).
He won Qatari League championship title in 2020.
He is close to retirement age as a player. It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Al Rayyan.
