Al Ahli Sports Club Doha (D1) added to their roster 31-year old American (has also Ghanian passport) small forward Adamu Saaka (198-88, college: Furman) to replace the other American Louis Munks (190-G-90, college: PVAMU, agency: Interperformances) who already got released. Adamu started the season at Al Fateh in Saudi Arabian SBL league. Saaka helped them to make it to the Supercup final. He ended the last season at Somouha in Egyptian league where in 7 Africa Basketball League games he had very impressive stats: 16.0ppg, 5.9rpg and 1.7apg. Saaka contributed to his team making it to the FIBA Africa Basketball League Final Four. A very spectacular season in his career as he was named to Afrobasket.com All-FIBA Africa Basketball League Honorable Mention. But the most of that year Saaka spent at C'Chartres (ProB) in French league. In 12 games he recorded 10.8ppg and 3.3rpg.
Saaka's career allowed him to visit four different continents. He tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Africa and of course North America. Saaka has played previously professionally in Holland (Zwolle), France (Saint Quentin) and Qatar (Al Arabi and Al Wakrah).
He attended Furman University until 2011 and it is his ninth season as a professional player.
