Al Arabi tabs Jay Couisnard, ex Al Hilal

Jay Couisnard

Al Arabi Club Doha (D1) inked 31-year old American forward Jay Couisnard (198-88, college: UMKC). He started the season at Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabian SBL league. The last season Couisnard played at Al Wasl in UAE league. He helped them to make it to the semifinals.

Among many awards, Couisnard played in the final of the Saudi Arabia League in 2017. He received also Eurobasket.com All-British BBL 2nd Team award back in 2014.

Couisnard has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). Couisnard has played previously professionally in France (La Rochelle) and United Kingdom (Worcester Wolves).

He attended the University of Missouri - Kansas City until 2012 and it is his eighth season in pro basketball.

Couisnard's game is described as Athletic small forward, his versatility allows him to play the 2 through 4. He is explosive off the dribble and the boards and is well known for his dunking ability. He has quick hands and aggressive. He is a student of the game, team leader and a consistent scorer with good 3pt range.
