Marquis Weddle (ex Beijing) joins Al Gharafa

MARQUIS WEDDLE

Al Gharafa Doha (D1) agreed terms with 30-year old American guard Marquis Weddle (185-88, college: West Virginia Wesleyan). He played last summer at Beijing Bucks in Chinese NBL league. In 12 games he had very impressive stats: 17.3ppg, 4.5rpg and 3.0apg.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Weddle's team made it to the WVIAC Tournament Semifinals in 2011. He was selected to Chinese NBL All-Star Game back in 2016.
Weddle has played previously professionally also in NBA G League (Erie Bay Hawks).
He attended West Virginia Wesleyan until 2011 and it will be his eighth season as a professional player.
