MOHAMED HARATH

28-year old forward Mohamed Harath (198-F-90) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's best team Al Shamal and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 11.
He had a double-double of 30 points and 22 rebounds, while his team edged out Al Arabi (#4, 6-5) 79-76. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Al Shamal to take over top position in the Qatari league. Al Shamal have a solid 9-2 record. In the team's last game Harath had a remarkable 53.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Al Shamal's top player in his first season with the team. Harath has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 27.3ppg and leads league in rebounds with 18.1rpg. Harath is in league's top in and averages solid 53.8% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Toney McCray (196-F-89) of league's second-best Qatar Club. He is American forward in his first season at Qatar Club. In the last game McCray recorded impressive double-double of 24 points and 12 rebounds. It was enough for Qatar Club to edge the lower-ranked Al Wakrah (#5, 6-5) by 3 points 69-66. This victory allowed Qatar Club to move up to second position in the standings. His team lost just two games this season, while they won 9 matches. McCray is one of the most experienced players at Qatar Club and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Miroslav Todic (205-F/C-85) of Al Sadd (#3). Todic showcased his all-around game by recording 25 points, seven rebounds and four assists in the last round. He was a key player of Al Sadd, leading his team to a 89-67 easy win against the lower-ranked Al Khor (#8, 1-9). Al Sadd is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 8-2 record is not that bad... Todic has a great season in Qatar. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.3ppg (7th best) and rebounds with 11.6rpg (3rd best).

8. Moustafa Essam Fouda (174-PG-97) of Al Sadd - 22 points, 3 rebounds and 7 assists
9. DaQuan Brooks (177-PG-90) of Al Wakrah - 29 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists
10. Oumar Seck (208-C-88) of Al Arabi - 21 points and 15 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
