Experienced Bosnia and Herzegovina-Serbian Miroslav Todic (205-F/C-85) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's leader Al Sadd and that's him to receive a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 33-year old power forward had a double-double of 30 points and fourteen rebounds, while his team beat Al Ahli (#7, 2-5) 85-79. It allowed Al Sadd to consolidate first place in the Qatari D1. Al Sadd have a solid 6-1 record. In the team's last game Todic had a remarkable 72.7% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be Al Sadd's top player in his first season with the team. Miroslav Todic averages this season 20.2ppg, 13.0rpg and 4.5apg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 24-year old American point guard Ameer Jackson (193-PG-94) of Al Khor. Jackson impressed basketball fans with 32 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Bad luck as Al Khor was edged by the higher-ranked Al Shamal (#2, 6-1) 80-78. Al Khor managed to keep the same 8th spot in the standings. 6 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Al Khor managed to get this year. Jackson is a newcomer at Al Khor and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Nick Stover (198-F-93) of Al Gharafa (#6). Stover scored 23 points and grabbed twenty two rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Al Gharafa, leading his team to a 71-65 win against slightly higher-ranked Al Wakrah (#5, 4-3). The chances of Al Gharafa ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 4 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Stover could help Al Gharafa to bring them higher in the standings. Stover has a very solid season. In 6 games in Qatar he scored 24.3ppg. He also has 11.3rpg, 3.2apg and FGP: 52.6%. Stover attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Mohamed Harath (198-F-90) of Al Shamal - 25 points, 18 rebounds and 2 assists

6. Toney McCray (196-F-89) of Qatar Club - 25 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
