COURTNEY PIGRAM

Defending champion Al Arabi Club Doha (D1) agreed terms with 33-year old American guard Courtney Pigram (185-85, college: East Tennessee State). It is actually his comeback to Doha as he has played here before. Pigram started the season at E.N. Paralimni in Cypriot Division A. In 10 games he had 9.4ppg, 2.4rpg and 2.5apg this season. Quite impressive year as he was named to Cyprus League All-Star Game. The last summer Pigram played at Scarlet & Gray in U.S. semi-pro league The Basketball Tournament.
In 2011 (two years after he left the college) Pigram was drafted by Idaho Stampede (D-League) in fifth round (9th overall).
The former East Tennessee State staris in his tenth season in pro basketball.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Pigram's team made it to the Iranian Superleague Semifinals in 2015. He was also voted Asia-Basket.com All-Iranian Superleague 2nd Team back in 2015.
Pigram is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit three different continents, while he played in nine different countries. Pigram tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in China (Heilongjiang), Germany (Braunschweig and s Oliver Baskets), Greece (Ilysiakos), Lebanon (Tadamon), Saudi Arabia (Al Hilal), Spain (Andorra), Iran (Shahrdari Gorgan) and NBA G League (Maine Red Claws).
On Pigram: 'Heart of a Champion' NBA Level scoring combo guard with unbelievable range and a great upside. Has been in several NBA camps and workouts since a (Jr.) in NCAA. Bobcats Head Coach Larry Brown invited him in. Was the A-Sun Player of the Yr. as a sophomore. Lead ETSU to the NCAA Tournament. Honored as Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LEB.
