NEMANJA BESOVIC

Al Gharafa Doha (D1) strengthened their roster with addition of 26-year old Serbian center Nemanja Besovic (221-120kg-92, agency: Haylett Sports). He played most recently at Al Ahli. In 15 D1 games in Qatar he recorded very impressive stats: 19.5ppg, 11.3rpg (#3 in the league), 1.7apg and 2.3bpg last season. Great year indeed as he was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Qatar D1 Honorable Mention.
The previous (16-17) season Besovic played at KK Strumica (Prva Liga) in league where in 8 games he averaged 14.0ppg and 6.1rpg.
Among other achievements Besovic won Serbian League championship title for two years in a row (2011 and 2012).
He represented Serbia at the European Championships U20 in Slovenia six years ago. His stats at that event were 6 games: 11.0ppg, 3.3rpg, FGP: 62.5%, FT: 84.2%.
Besovic has played previously professionally in Belgium (Spirou Charleroi and VOO Verviers Pepinster) and Serbia (Partizan, Vojvodina Srbijagas and BC Partizan NiS Beograd U19 team).

FRANKLIN SESSION 29-year old guard Franklin Session (187-G-89) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Al Gharafa and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 8.
