AARON ROUNTREE III

Qatar Sports Club Doha (D1) added to their roster 25-year old American forward Aaron Rountree III (203-91kg-93, college: Iona). He played last summer at Gael Nation (The Basketball Tournament) in the U.S. Rountree III managed to play in three leagues in three countries last year. He ended the last season at ASA Koroivos Amaliadas (A1) in league where in 11 games he recorded 4.0ppg, 4.0rpg, 1.2spg and 1.2bpg. But the most of that year Rountree III spent at Gmunden Swans (A Bundesliga) in league. In 29 games he averaged 7.2ppg, 5.4rpg, 2.9apg, 2.0spg (in top 2) and 1.2bpg. He helped them to make it to both league and Cup finals.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Rountree III's college team won China Four Nations Tournament in 2016. He was also voted HS Coastal Plains Independent Conference Player of the Year back in 2011.
Rountree III has played also professionally in Slovakia (Lucenec).
He attended Iona College until 2016 and it will be his third season as a professional player.

Defending champion Ahli Shabab Dubai (D1) added to their roster 33-year old American (has also Iraqi passport) forward Sammy Monroe (198-85, college: Newberry). He played recently at Homentmen in Lebanese LBL league. He helped them to make it to the Supercup final. The last season Monroe played at Al Gharafa in D1 where in 18 games he had very impressive stats: 20.3ppg, 10.1rpg, 5.8apg (top 4) and 1.8spg. LENNY DANIEL Al Rayyan Doha (D1) strengthened their roster with addition of 31-year old American power forward Lenny Daniel (203-100kg-87, college: CS Northridge). He started the season at Union Neuchatel Basket in Swiss SBL league. In 9 games he recorded 10.4ppg, 5.7rpg and 1.1bpg this season.
