The Storm signs Marcus Bell, ex Al Rayyan - Dec 3, 2017

Marcus Bell
Island Storm (NBL Canada) signed 27-year old American center Marcus Bell (206-102kg-90, college: CS Stanislaus). He played last season at Al Rayyan in Qatari D1 league. In 18 games he had very impressive stats: 19.2ppg, 15.2rpg (#2 in the league), 1.8apg, 2.4spg (in top 5) and 1.2bpg. Bell helped them to make it to the cup final. Quite impressive season as he League Player of the Week (2 times). He also played that season for Sitra Club (Premier League) in Bahrain where in 18 games he recorded also remarkable stats: 19.2ppg, 15.2rpg (#2 in the league) and 1.8apg. The other team Bell played that season for was Uhud (SBL) in Saudi Arabian league. In 18 games he averaged high stats: 19.2ppg, 15.2rpg (#2 in the league) and 1.8apg. Another team Bell played that season for was US Ansar (Division I) in Tunisian league. In 18 games he got high stats: 19.2ppg, 15.2rpg (#2 in the league) and 1.8apg.
Three years ago Bell was drafted by Santa Cruz Warriors (D-League) in fifth round (85th overall).
He attended Cal.St.-Stanislaus (NCAA Div.II) until 2014 and it is his fourth season in pro basketball.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Bell played in the final of COCABA for Clubs in 2015. He was also voted Daktronics NCAA D2 All-West Region 1st Team back in 2014 at his college time.
Bell has played on four different continents (Asia, Latin America, Africa and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in Mexico (Frayles de Guasave), El Salvador (Denver-FAS San Salvador and Aguila) and ABA (S.Francisco R.).

NICK STOVER Al Gharafa Doha (D1) tabbed 25-year old American forward Nick Stover (198-90kg-93, college: S.Alabama). He played in the summer at Denver in Eurobasket Summer League in Las Vegas1, which helped him to get the job in pro basketball. In 20 ESL games he was fourth best scorer with impressive 22.7ppg and recorded 7.0rpg and 3.8apg.
