Jermareo
Davidson
Al Ittihad Jeddah (Premier League) added to their roster 30-year old American forward Jermareo Davidson (208-104kg-84, college: Alabama). He played last season at Al Rayyan in Qatari D1 league. In 18 games he had 13.6ppg, 8.1rpg and 2.2apg. He helped them to win the regular season and make it to the semifinals.
The previous (12-13) season Davidson played at Antalya Buyuksehir Belediye (TB3L) in Turkish league. In 11 games he recorded very impressive stats: 16.7ppg, 7.3rpg, 1.5apg and 1.5bpg in 2012-13 season.
In 2011-12 season he played at Deutsche Bank Skyliners (BBL) in German league. In 26 games he recorded 12.8ppg, 6.3rpg, 1.3apg and 1.7bpg in 2011-12 season. Davidson also played 6 games in Eurocup where he recorded 12.5ppg, 8.2rpg, 1.0apg and 1.0spg in 2011-12 season. The most of previous (10-11) season he spent at Idaho Stampede in D-League. In 30 games he recorded also remarkable stats: 15.3ppg, 10.1rpg (#3 in the league) and 1.5bpg in 2010-11 season. A very spectacular year in his career as he was named to USBasket.com All-D-League Honorable Mention. Davidson also played at Krasnie Krilya (VTB) in Russian league that season. In 7 games he recorded 4.6ppg and 4.0rpg (#3 in the league) in 2010-11 season. He also played 4 games in Eurocup where he recorded 9.8ppg and 4.3rpg in 2010-11 season.
In 202010 summer Davidson played at Caciques (BSN) in Puerto Rican league. In two games he recorded 7.5ppg and 2.0rpg in 2010 season.
In 2007 he was drafted by Golden State Warriors (NBA) in second round (36th overall). Davidson attended University of Alabama and it will be his eighth season in pro basketball.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team won Qatar Emir Cup in 2013. Davidson was also voted NABC All-NCAA District 6 1st Team back in 2007 at his college time. Davidson represented USA at the Gulf Club Championships Semifinals last year.
He has played also professionally in D-League (Sioux Falls Skyforce), Turkey (Darussafaka) and NBA (Charlotte Hornets).
On Davidson: (by Matthew Maurer for NBADraft.net in 2007)
For his size, Davidson has an impressive package of mobility and leaping ability. Despite his size he runs the court like a guard, able to keep up on fast breaks. Has shown the ability to hit the mid-range jumper out to 18 feet from the basket. Decent ball handler able to catch the ball in the high post and turnaround or face up and drive to the basket. Defensively Davidson shows quality shot blocking ability as his timing, long arms and quickness enable him to disrupt shots.
Has a tendency to get easily out muscled for rebounding position because he doesnt box his man effectively out. Needs to be more assertive, tends to play passive at times and will defer to teammates
