The standout Bahraini point guard Mustafa Ali was named the Player of the Year of the championship-winning runner-up team champion team Al Arabi Club Doha. He received multiple other awards, was voted the Import Player of the Year, Guard of the Year, and was selected to the First Team, Imports Team and Defensive Team. With Ali's excellent performance, the runner-up team champion team Al Arabi Club Doha achieved the best record of the season in the league, finishing with an impressive 14 to 2 in the regular season. Ali's excellent performance assisted his team in beating the Al Rayyan 2 to 0 in the final series. He averaged almost 22 points and 5 assists per game in the league. Ali has totalled 13 games of 20 or more points on the year and recorded 30 or more points in 2 games. His 31 points against the Al Gharafa were the most he scored in the 25 26 season. Malik Curry, American guard from the finalist team Al Rayyan Doha, was selected as the Defensive Player of the Year at the Qatari Basketball League. He graduated from the West Virginia four years ago. Curry collected multiple other honors, was chosen to the First Team and Imports Team and Defensive Team. His best performance made his team reach the finals but they unfortunately were defeated by the Al Arabi 0 to 2. Curry registered over 17 points per game that season in the league. He led the QBL in assists per game with over 9. Curry has totalled 6 games of 20 or more points and had double-doubles in 8 games on the year. His 32 points against the Al Arabi were the most he scored in the 25 26 season. Rolands Freimanis, 38-year old Latvian power forward from the Al Rayyan Doha, was honored as the Forward of the Year of Qatari Basketball League. He received multiple other awards, was named to the First Team and Imports Team and Defensive Team. Freimanis' best performance made his team reach the finals but they unfortunately were defeated by the Al Arabi 0 to 2. He recorded 17 points and over 7 rebounds per game over the season in the league. Freimanis has totalled 5 games of 20 or more points on the year and logged 30 or more points in 3 games. He registered double-doubles in 4 games during the event. Freimanis' 41 points against Al Ahli Sports Club Doha were the most he scored in the 25 26 season. The standout Bosnian center Elmedin Kikanovic earned the Center of the Year of the championship-winning Al Arabi Club Doha. He collected multiple other honors, earned a spot in the First Team and Imports Team. Kikanovic's excellent performance assisted his team in beating the Al Rayyan 2 to 0 in the final series. He averaged almost 18 points and over 7 rebounds per game in the league. Kikanovic has totalled 11 games of 20 or more points and notched double-doubles in 7 games on the year. His 30 points against the Al Sadd were the most he scored in the 25 26 season. Josh Hall, American forward from the Al Gharafa Doha, was voted to the First Team at the Qatari Basketball League. He received multiple other awards, was selected to the Imports Team and Defensive Team. Hall orchestrated his way to the fourth spot in points per game, showcasing a dazzling average of almost 25 and third position in averaging almost 10 rebounds per game. He has totalled 10 games of 20 or more points on the year and recorded 30 or more points in 3 games. Hall registered double-doubles in 6 games at the event. His 41 points against the Al Shamal were the most he scored in the 25 26 season. 6 out of the top 10 highest scorers in the league are alumni of US colleges. He won the South African BNL championship title in 2023.
