Rivero's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

27-year old guard Ricci Rivero (185-G-1998) had an amazing evening in the last round for Phoenix Fuel Masters and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 16.
He had a double-double of 31 points and 11 rebounds, while his team edged out TNT Tropang (6-4) 100-97. Masters is placed at 5th position in Filipino league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Phoenix will need more victories to improve their 6-4 record. In the team's last game Rivero had a remarkable 68.4% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Masters, through which he has constantly improved. Ricci Rivero averages this season 20.0ppg and 6.0rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Bol Bol (218-C-1999, agency: The Crew A.M.) of Talk N Text Tropang Giga. He is South Sudanese-American center in his first season at TNT Tropang. In the last game Bol recorded an impressive double-double of 30 points and 20 rebounds. Bad luck as Giga was edged by slightly higher-ranked Phoenix (6-4) 100-97. This loss caused TNT Tropang to drop to 6th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 6-4 record is not bad and everything may still change. Bol is one of the most experienced players at TNT Tropang and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 37.2ppg (#1). He also registered 15.3 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to Mubashar Ali (213-C/F-1997, agency: BIG) of Terrafirma Dyip (#9). Ali showcased his all-around game by recording 24 points, 16 rebounds (!!!) and 5 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Dyip, leading his team to a 102-84 easy win against the lower-ranked Macau BB (#13, 2-9). The chances of Terrafirma Dyip ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 6 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Ali could help Terrafirma Dyip to bring them higher in the standings. Ali has a great season in Philippines. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.5ppg (8th best) and rebounds with 16.6rpg (2nd best). He also has 1.3bpg and a FGP of 50.4%.
