Clinton Chapman gets MVP of the Week award for Filipino PBA

Experienced American Clinton Chapman (208-F/C-1989, agency: Diamond Sports) had an amazing evening in the last round for Magnolia Hotshots and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 36-year old power forward had a double-double of 39 points and 15 rebounds, while his team beat Macau BB (#13, 0-5), the league's bottom-ranked team 121-109. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. Hotshots is placed at 11th position in Filipino PBA. The season is still in it's early stage, so the team may have a chance to improve their current position in the standings. They lost 3 games and had just one victory. In the team's last game Chapman had a remarkable 56.5% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Hotshots and it was his first game, where he immediately became new team's leader.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American center Marcus Lee (208-C-1994) of San Miguel Beermen. Lee impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 30 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Beermen lost that game 92-118 to slightly higher-ranked TNT Tropang (#7, 2-1). Despite lost game SM Beermen moved up to 8th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 2-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Lee is one of the most experienced players at SM Beermen and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was South Sudanese Bol Bol (218-C-1999) of Talk N Text Tropang Giga (#7). Bol got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. He went also for eighteen rebounds . He was a key player of Giga, leading his team to a 118-92 easy win against slightly lower-ranked SM Beermen (#8, 2-2). TNT Tropang needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 1 lost game. Bol has a great season in Philippines. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 37.3ppg (best scorer), rebounds with 16.3rpg (5th best) and assists with 1.3apg (3rd best).
