Mubashar Ali gets MVP of the Week award for Filipino PBA (by Hoops Agents)

Finnish Mubashar Ali (213-C/F-1997, agency: BIG) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's leader Terrafirma Dyip and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 28-year old had a double-double of 22 points and 23 rebounds, while his team beat Blackwater (#8, 1-2) 99-88. It allowed Dyip to jump to the first place in the Filipino PBA. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Terrafirma Dyip already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Ali had a remarkable three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He just recently signed at Dyip, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Florida Memorial University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Ali is in league's top in points (3rd best: 33.0ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 19.7rpg) and averages solid 1.7bpg,54.8% FGP and 56.0% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Justin Brownlee (197-F-1988) of Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Kings. Brownlee impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 31 points and 10 rebounds. Of course he led Kings to another comfortable win 110-93 over Macau BB (0-3) being unquestionably team leader. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won their first game. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Brownlee is one of the most experienced players at Ginebra Kings and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 31.0ppg (#5). His other stats are also decent: 10.0rpg and 5.0apg. St. John's University alumni Brownlee played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.

The third best performed player last round was South Sudanese Bol Bol (218-C-1999) of Talk N Text Tropang Giga (#7). Bol got into 30-points club by scoring 38 points in the last round. He went also for sixteen rebounds . Despite Bol's great performance the Giga lost 109-112 to Rain or Shine (#3, 2-0). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing TNT Tropang needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 1 victory and 1 lost game. The season just started for Bol as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.
