Ali number one in Philippines PBA for round 2 (by Hoops Agents)

Finnish Mubashar Ali (213-C/F-1997, agency: BIG) put on an amazing game in the last round for Terrafirma Dyip, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
The 28-year old player had a double-double of 50 points and 25 rebounds, while his team beat FiberXers (#5, 1-1) 111-100. Dyip is placed at 3rd position in Filipino PBA. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Terrafirma Dyip won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Ali had a remarkable 52.0% from 2-point range and got seven three-pointers out of 11 attempts. He just recently signed at Dyip and just after two games he already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Former Florida Memorial University star has very solid stats this year. Ali is league's best scorer averaging so far 38.5ppg. Ali is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 18.0rpg) and averages impressive 2.0bpg,54.1% FGP and 57.9% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Jaylen Johnson (206-C-1996, agency: Octagon Europe) of Rain or Shine Elasto Painters. Johnson had a very good evening with a double-double of 29 points and 24 rebounds. Of course Painters cruised to a 116-109 relatively comfortable win over Macau BB (0-2). His team has extremely good start of the season. They won their first game. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Johnson is a newcomer at Rain or Shine, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 29.0ppg (#4). His other stats are also decent: 24.0rpg and 6.0apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward James Dickey III (208-F/C-1996, agency: JCK Sports Group) of league's second-best Phoenix Fuel Masters. Dickey III showcased his all-around game by recording 17 points, 17 rebounds (!!!) and 6 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Masters, leading his team to a 109-76 easy win against Titan UGR (#13, 0-2). Phoenix has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Dickey III also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Dickey III has a great season in Philippines. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 21.5rpg (2nd best).

10. Zavier Lucero (198-F-1999) of Hotshots - 16 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists
