Beermen dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to TNT Tropang's 26. Beermen forced 21 TNT Tropang turnovers and outrebounded them 47-29 including a 35-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Beermen looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 31 personal fouls committed by TNT Tropang helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Center June Mar Fajardo (210-1989) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds. Guard Celedonio Trollano (191-1992) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Naturalized American forward Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser (201-1994, college: UC Riverside) replied with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Rey Nambatac (179-1994) added 17 points in the effort for TNT Tropang. Five Beermen and four TNT Tropang players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
