Meralco Bolts - TNT Tropang 95-100

TNT Tropang made 37-of-47 charity shots (78.7 percent) during the game, while Bolts only scored twelve points from the stripe. Bolts were plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. Calvin-John Oftana stepped up and scored 28 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser chipped in 14 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side point guard Christopher Banchero (186-1990, college: Seattle Pacific) responded with 16 points and center Raymond Almazan (206-1989) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game.

Ginebra Kings - SM Beermen 99-90

Kings looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Beermen helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Rhon Jhay Abarrientos (181-1999) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 7 assists. Scottie Thompson contributed with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. answered with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 23 rebounds and Jaymar Perez added 18 points in the effort for Beermen. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
