Stephen Holt gets MVP of the Week award for Filipino PBA (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced American Stephen Holt (193-SG-1991) had a great game in the last round for Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Kings and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 34-year old shooting guard had the game-high 27 points adding four rebounds and two assists for Ginebra Kings in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Titan UGR (#9, 4-7) 108-105. Kings is placed at 5th position in Filipino PBA. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Ginebra Kings will need more victories to improve their 7-4 record. In the team's last game Holt had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 6 attempts. It's his second year at Kings and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Stephen Holt averages this season 14.2ppg and 6.3rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American guard Joshua Munzon (191-G-1995) of Titan Ultra Giant Risers. Munzon impressed basketball fans with 31 points, 4 rebounds and 8 assists. Bad luck as Titan UGR was edged by the higher-ranked Ginebra Kings (#5, 7-4) 108-105. Titan UGR is still in a red zone at 9th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-7 record. Munzon is one of the most experienced players at Titan UGR and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.7ppg (#2). He also recorded 4.6 assists per game.

The third best performed player last round was another Ginebra Kings' star - Rhon Jhay Abarrientos (181-G-1999). Abarrientos scored 24 points and passed 6 assists. He was another key player of Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Kings, helping his team with a 108-105 win against the lower-ranked Titan UGR (#9, 4-7). Kings needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 4 lost games. Abarrientos has a very solid season. In 10 games in Philippines he scored 15.8ppg.
