June Mar Fajardo gets MVP of the Week award for Filipino PBA (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced June Mar Fajardo (210-C-1989) put on an amazing game in the last round for San Miguel Beermen and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 36-year old center had a double-double of 24 points and 16 rebounds, while his team beat FiberXers (3-2) 96-90. Beermen is placed at 5th position in Filipino PBA. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost two games earlier this season. SM Beermen will need more victories to improve their 3-2 record. In the team's last game Fajardo had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Beermen, through which he has constantly improved. Fajardo has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (5th best: 19.0ppg), assists (9th best: 4.2apg) and averages solid 1.8bpg and 66.7% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Calvin Abueva (190-F-1988) of Titan Ultra Giant Risers. Abueva impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 23 points and 14 rebounds. Of course Titan UGR cruised to a 97-86 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Blackwater (#10, 1-4). This victory allowed Titan UGR to leave bottom place moving a little bit up to 8th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 2-4 record. Abueva is a newcomer at Titan UGR and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.4ppg (#1). He also registered 10.2 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Japeth Aguilar (206-C-1987) of Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Kings (#7). Aguilar scored 25 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. He was a key player of Kings, leading his team to a 104-74 easy win against the higher-ranked NLEX RW (#4, 4-2). The chances of Ginebra Kings ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 3 games, recording just two victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Aguilar could help Ginebra Kings to bring them higher in the standings. Aguilar has a great season in Philippines. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.8ppg (8th best).

10. Scottie Thompson (188-G-1993) of Ginebra Kings - 12 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists
