Juan Gomez De Liano's triple-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

Naturalized Spanish Juan Gomez De Liano (184-G-1999) had a great game in the last round for league's second-best Converge FiberXers and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 26-year old guard recorded a triple-double of 17 points adding also 10 rebounds and 12 assists, while his team crushed Terrafirma Dyip (#11, 1-2) with 17-point margin 125-108. FiberXers is placed at 2nd position in Filipino PBA. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. FiberXers will need more victories to improve their 2-1 record. Gomez De Liano turned to be FiberXers' top player in his first season with the team. Juan Gomez De Liano averages just after three games 15.3ppg, 9.7rpg and 9.7apg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young center June Mar Fajardo (210-C-1989) of San Miguel Beermen. Fajardo impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 17 points and 14 rebounds. Of course he led Beermen to another comfortable win 111-93 over the higher-ranked Rain or Shine (#5, 2-1) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed SM Beermen to leave bottom place moving a little bit up to 10th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 1-2 record. Fajardo is one of the most experienced players at SM Beermen and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.0ppg (#9). His other stats are also decent: 17.0rpg and 4.0apg.

The third best performed player last round was Jhonard Clarito (188-G-1996) of Rain or Shine Elasto Painters (#5). Clarito scored 16 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Despite Clarito's great performance the Painters lost 93-111 to the lower-ranked SM Beermen (#10, 1-2). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Rain or Shine needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 2 victories and 1 lost game. Clarito has a very solid season. In 3 games in Philippines he scored 11.3ppg.
