Arana's double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

26-year old forward Justine Arana (201-F-1999) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Converge FiberXers and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
He had a double-double of 28 points and 22 rebounds, while his team outclassed Titan UGR (#8, 1-1) with 37-point margin 129-92. FiberXers is placed at 2nd position in Filipino league. But it's just the very beginning of the season and FiberXers won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. Arana has many years of experience at FiberXers, through which he has constantly improved. Arana has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 28.0ppg and leads league in rebounds with 22.0rpg. Arana is in league's top in and averages solid 70.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was June Mar Fajardo (210-C-1989) of San Miguel Beermen. He is a center in his 15th season at SM Beermen. In the last game Fajardo recorded an impressive double-double of 19 points and 22 rebounds. Bad luck as Beermen lost that game 103-109 to Phoenix (1-1). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Fajardo is one of the most experienced players at SM Beermen and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Joshua Munzon (191-G-1995) of Titan Ultra Giant Risers (#8). Munzon got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for five rebounds . Despite Munzon's great performance the Titan UGR lost 92-129 to FiberXers (#2, 1-0). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Titan UGR needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 1 victory and 1 lost game. Munzon has a great season in Philippines. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.5ppg (4th best). Joshua Munzon has also Filipino passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.
