Fajardo's 20 points and 9 rebounds give him Player of the Week award

35-year old center June Mar Fajardo (210-C-1989) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked San Miguel Beermen and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
He had the game-high 20 points adding nine rebounds and four assists for SM Beermen in his team's victory, helping them to beat Rain or Shine (#7, 6-4) 120-111. Beermen is placed at 2nd position in Filipino league. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. SM Beermen will need more victories to improve their 7-2 record. In the team's last game Fajardo had a remarkable 72.7% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Beermen, through which he has constantly improved. Fajardo has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (7th best: 18.4ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 12.2rpg) and averages solid 65.0% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Joshua Munzon (191-G-1995) of North Port Batang Pier. He is naturalized American guard in his second season at North Port. In the last game Munzon recorded an impressive 32 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Bad luck as North Port lost that game 107-118 to slightly higher-ranked Phoenix (#9, 3-7). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. North Port keeps 11th position. 8 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory North Port managed to get this year. Munzon is one of the most experienced players at North Port and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.2ppg (#3). His other stats are also decent: 5.7rpg and 4.2apg.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Zavier Lucero (198-F) of Magnolia Hotshots (#4). Lucero scored 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). Despite Lucero's great performance the Hotshots lost 99-107 to #1 ranked NLEX RW. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Hotshots needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 7 victories and 3 lost games. Lucero has a great season in Philippines. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.4ppg (8th best) and rebounds with 8.0rpg (8th best). He also has 1.5bpg, a FGP of 54.7% and 3PT: 44.4%.
