Robert Bolick gets MVP of the Week award for Filipino PBA

Robert Bolick (185-G-1995) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's second-best NLEX Road Warriors and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 29-year old guard had the game-high 28 points adding seven rebounds and four assists for NLEX RW in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Ginebra Kings (#5, 3-2) 89-86. Warriors is placed at 2nd position in Filipino PBA. They are still close to the very top. NLEX RW would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 4-1 record. In the team's last game Bolick had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Warriors and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Bolick has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (8th best: 19.2ppg) and averages solid 52.5% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Keith Datu (201-F-1996) of Rain or Shine Elasto Painters. Datu impressed basketball fans with 27 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course he led Painters to another comfortable win 120-106 over the lower-ranked Blackwater (#10, 1-4) being unquestionably team leader. Rain or Shine's 6th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 3-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Datu is well-known by Rain or Shine fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American Joshua Munzon (191-G-1995) of North Port Batang Pier (#11). Munzon got into 30-points club by scoring 36 points in the last round. He went also for six rebounds . Despite Munzon's great performance the North Port lost 104-105 to the higher-ranked Meralco Bolts (#8, 3-4). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. North Port can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-4 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Munzon has individually a great season in Philippines. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.4ppg (3rd best). Joshua Munzon has also Filipino passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.

9. Calvin-John Oftana (195-F-1996) of TNT Tropang - 28 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Celedonio Trollano (191-G-1992) of SM Beermen - 21 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists
