Hotshots sign Shabazz Muhammad

Shabazz Muhammad

Magnolia Hotshots (PBA) signed 31-year old American small forward Shabazz Muhammad (198cm-101kg-1992, college: UCLA). He joins another USA player Glenn Robinson III who is already in the roster.
He played last season at Trotamundos in Venezuelan SPB league. In 11 games just recently he had very impressive stats: 19.0ppg and 6.1rpg. This season he played at Homentmen Beirut (LBL) in Lebanese league.
In 2013 he was drafted by Utah Jazz (NBA) in first round (14th overall). The former University of California at Los Angeles standout is in his twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball.
He is quite experienced player. He has played in seven different countries on three different continents (Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Muhammad has played previously professionally in China (Guandong Tigers, Loongs, Leopards and Shaanxi), Lebanon (Beirut Club), NBA (Minnesota Timberwolves), Philippines (Beermen), NBA G League (Stockton Kings and Grand Rapids Gold) and PBL (Just Hoops). Muhammad's team made it to the NBA G League Semifinals in 2024.
He was voted to Chinese CBA All-Star Game back in 2019.
