Scotty Hopson agreed terms with FiberXers

Scotty Hopson

Converge FiberXers (PBA) bolstered their lineup with the addition of 34-year-old USA ex-international 200cm swingman Scotty Hopson (college: Tennessee) for the 2024-25 season. He most recently played for the Maine Celtics (NBA G League) in the U.S. In 12 NBA-G-League games, he averaged just 2.5ppg and 1.3rpg last season. Hopson also competed in the final of the NBA G League in 2024.
For two previous seasons (2021-23) he played at Blue in the NBA G League. He was a member of the USA Senior National Team between 2018 and 2020.
He is a very experienced player. Thanks to his pro career, he managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Australia, and of course North America) in ten different countries. Hopson has played previously professionally in Australia (United and Breakers), China (Loong Lions), Croatia (Cedevita), Greece (Kolossos H Hotels Rodou), Israel (Hapoel Holon, Ironi Nahariya, and Hapoel Eilat), Spain (Baskonia), Turkey (Efes and Galatasaray), NBA (Dallas Mavericks and Sacramento Kings), NBA G League (Sioux Falls Skyforce and Cleveland Charge), and The Basketball Tournament (Loyalty is Love).
He graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2011 and it will be his 14th season in pro basketball. Hopson played in the final of the NBA G League in 2024.
