Christian Standhardinger was the best scorer of the day in the world yesterday with the 41 points he had in Ginebra Kings

41 points scored by 35 year old German forward Christian Standhardinger (206-F-1989, college: Hawaii) made him the highest scoring player of the day in the world. His team Ginebra Kings lost to the Meralco Bolts 91 to 103. He also added 11 rebounds and 4 assists that evening. Standhardinger is the 2nd best scorer in the league.
He has played on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). He has played previously professionally also in Germany (BG Goettingen, Rasta Vechta and MBC), Hong Kong (HK Eastern), and Philippines (North Port and SM Beermen).
He represented the Philippines at the SEA Games in Phnom Penh (Cambodia) last year. His team won Silver and he had 7 points per game. His team made it to the PBA Commissioner's Final Four earlier this year.
Among many awards he was selected as the Asia-Basket.com All-PBA Governor's Cup Domestic Player of the Year between 2019 and 2023. Standhardinger was also selected to the Eurobasket.com All-German 2.Bundesliga Pro A First Team as well as the All-Domestic Players Team back in 2016. He was also selected to the Asia-Basket.com All-ASEAN League Second Team back in 2018.
Standhardinger was also awarded Player of the Week in the Filipino League 2 times already this season.
