Standhardinger number one in Philippines PBA for round 11

Naturalized German Forward Christian Standhardinger (206-F-1989) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Kings, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 34-year old player had a double-double of 33 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat FiberXers (#12, 1-9) 105-93. Ginebra Kings maintains the 2nd position in Filipino PBA. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Ginebra Kings will need more victories to improve their 7-3 record. Standhardinger has many years of experience at Ginebra Kings, through which he has constantly improved. Christian Standhardinger averages this season 20.0ppg, 11.3rpg and 4.9apg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Jeth Troy Rosario (201-F-1992) of Blackwater Bossing. Rosario had a very good evening with 33 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Bad luck as Blackwater was edged by slightly higher-ranked North Port (#9, 5-6) 115-113. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Blackwater keeps 10th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-6 record. Rosario is well-known at Blackwater and is a proven leader in his second season with the team.

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Arvin Tolentino (195-F-1995) of North Port Batang Pier (#9). Tolentino showcased his all-around game by recording 27 points, 11 rebounds (!!!) and 7 assists in the last round. He was a key player of North Port, leading his team to a 115-113 win against slightly lower-ranked Blackwater (#10, 3-6). The chances of North Port ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 6 games, recording just five victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Tolentino could help North Port to bring them higher in the standings. Tolentino has a great season in Philippines. After 11 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.0ppg (4th best). He also has 1.3bpg and a FGP of 56.1%.
