Clark number one in Philippines PBA for round 9 (by Hoops Agents)- October 22, 2022
The 34-year old player had a double-double of 45 points and 16 rebounds, while his team beat TNT Tropang (#9, 2-2) 110-101. NLEX RW is placed at 4th position in Filipino PBA. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost two games earlier this season. NLEX RW will need more victories to improve their 3-2 record. In the team's last game Clark had a remarkable 70.8% from 2-point range. He turned to be NLEX RW's top player in his first season with the team. Former University of Louisville star has very solid stats this year. Clark is in league's top in points (4th best: 32.0ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 17.0rpg) and averages impressive 3.2bpg,61.7% FGP and 44.4% from behind 3-point line. The second best player in last round's games was young Canadian Andrew Nicholson (206-PF-1989) of league's leader Bay Area D.. Nicholson had a very good evening with a double-double of 37 points and 10 rebounds. Of course he led Bay Area D. to another comfortable win outscoring Terrafirma Dyip (#13, 0-6) 130-76. This victory allowed Bay Area D. to move up to 1st position in the standings. His team lost just one game this season, while they won 6 matches. Nicholson is a newcomer at Bay Area D., but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 34.7ppg (#2). He also registered 11.3 boards per game. Third on the list of top players last round was American Kaleb Wesson (208-C/F-1999) of Phoenix (#7). Wesson scored 23 points and grabbed thirteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Phoenix, leading his team to a 89-82 win against the lower-ranked Meralco Bolts (#12, 1-4). Phoenix needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 3 lost games. Wesson has a great season in Philippines. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 18.3rpg (2nd best). He also has 1.7bpg and FGP: 53.3%. Other top performing players last week: 4.
