There were just three rounds played in Regular Season of PBA and we can clearly see which teams will fight for top positions and which will try to avoid bottom places. Coincidentally all hosts won their games. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

Worth to mention about the upset in a game between NLEX RW (1-2) and SM Beermen (1-1), which took place in Manila. NLEX RW lost to SM Beermen in a road game 93-110 on Friday. SM Beermen made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. SM Beermen outrebounded NLEX RW 55-40 including 21 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a good game for naturalized Tongan center Moala Tautuaa (200-89, college: Chadron St.) who led his team to a victory with 16 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Jaymar Perez (188-93) contributed with 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. point guard Kevin Alas (183-91) answered with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for NLEX RW. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. SM Beermen is looking forward to face North Port (#7) in Pasig in the next round. NLEX RW's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Makati City Terrafirma Dyip.

In the last game of round 3 winless Blackwater Elite was beaten by Ginebra Kings on the road 96-81.
The most impressive performance of 3rd round was 16 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists by Kiefer Isaac Ravena of NLEX RW.



Ginebra Kings - Blackwater Elite 96-81

No shocking result in a game when Ginebra Kings (1-1) beat Blackwater Elite (0-3) in Manila 96-81 on Friday. Ginebra Kings outrebounded Blackwater Elite 55-30 including a 43-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by Blackwater Elite helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for naturalized German forward Christian Standhardinger (206-89, college: Hawaii) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists. Naturalized American point guard Stanley Pringle (184-87, college: Penn St., agency: Pensack Sports) contributed with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Five Ginebra Kings players scored in double figures. American guard Simon Enciso (180-91, college: NDN) answered with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Mike Tolomia (191-93) added 22 points in the effort for Blackwater Elite. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ginebra Kings is looking forward to face Hotshots in Pasig City in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Blackwater Elite will have a break next round.
