JAYSON CASTRO WILLIAM

32-year old point guard Jayson Castro William (180-PG-86) put on an amazing game in the last round for TNT Ka Tropa and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 2.
He got a double-double of 24 points and 11 assists, while his team beat SM Beermen (#5, 2-2) 104-93. Thanks to this victory TNT Ka Tropa moved-up to the 7th position in Filipino league. TNT Ka Tropa is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-3 record. In the team's last game Castro William had a remarkable 100.0% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at TNT Ka Tropa, through which he has constantly improved.

Second best performed player last round was Moala Tautuaa (200-C-89) of league's second-best Global Port. He is naturalized Tongan center in his first season at Global Port. In the last game Tautuaa recorded impressive double-double of 23 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Global Port lost that game 100-110 to Columbian Dyip (2-2). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Tautuaa is a newcomer at Global Port and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward John Paul Erram (203-F/C-89) of NLEX RW (#10). Erram showcased his all-around game by recording 23 points, ten rebounds and six assists in the last round. He was a key player of NLEX RW, leading his team to a 107-97 win against Columbian Dyip (#4, 2-2). NLEX RW can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-3 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Erram he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Erram has individually a great season in Philippines. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.8ppg (7th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Christian Standhardinger (206-F-89) of SM Beermen - 24 points and 10 rebounds
5. June Mar Fajardo (210-C-89) of SM Beermen - 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Stanley Pringle (184-PG-87) of Global Port - 29 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists
7. Michael Digregorio (185-G-90) of Blackwater Elite - 27 points and 5 rebounds
8. Chris Newsome (187-G-90) of Meralco Bolts - 20 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists
9. Kenneth Ighalo (188-SF-89) of NLEX RW - 19 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Chris Ross (185-G-85) of SM Beermen - 11 points, 7 rebounds and 15 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
