Lamar Odom
Former National Basketball Association (NBA) star forward Lamar Odom (208-F-79, college: Rhode Island) announced that he will be joining Mighty Sports as a reinforcement in the upcoming Dubai International Basketball Tournament in February.

The announcement came from Odom's @RealLamarOdom Twitter account.

The 39-year old forward strut his wares in the NBA from 1999-2014 and won two championships in 2009 and 2010 with the Los Angeles Lakers playing alongside star guard Kobe Bryant (198-SG-78).

Odom also represented the United States in the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece (bronze) and the 2010 FIBA World Championships in Istanbul, Turkey (gold).

The tournament will be Odom's first pro appearance after off-court problems and multiple health conditions derailed possible comebacks.

He will be strutting his wares in the BIG3 League after the Mighty engagement.

In related news, Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Kings resident import Justin Brownlee (197-F-88, college: St.John's) will join Odom as Mighty looks to win the Dubai tournament.

Brownlee, who won multiple titles with the Kings, will be reuniting with Mighty after playing with the team two years ago.

Joining Odom and Brownlee will be Randolf Morris who currently plays with the Beijing Ducks in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA).

Mighty also revealed its plans to tap collegiate stars Santi Santillian of the De La Salle Green Archers and University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons' Juan Gomez de Liano, and former pro cagers Gab Banal (191-F-90) and Joseph Yeo (183-G-83) to be part of the team.

Calasiao to host 2019 PBA All-Star festivities in March - 6 days ago
The 2019 PBA All-Star Week will be in Calasiao, Pangasinan, PBA commissioner Willie Marcial announced Tuesday. Marcial also said the league will do away with its Luzon-Visayas-Mindanao format which has been the PBA's way of staging the festivities for the past two years. 'Calasiao won the bidding so we will stage the All-Star Week there in March,' said Marcial during the preseason press conference at Conrad Hotel. 'It's only going to be in one city.' Last year, the annual spectacle was he...   [read more]
