Hotshots upset Ginebra Kings to win the semifinal series. Hotshots made 19-of-20 free shots (95.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Ginebra Kings turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American-FYR Macedonian Romeo Travis (198-84, college: Akron) fired a double-double by scoring 50 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds (on 20-of-26 shooting from the field) for the winners. Power forward Ian-Paul Sangalang (201-91) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. American forward Justin Brownlee (197-88, college: St.John's) produced 32 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and center Japeth Aguilar (206-87, college: W.Kentucky) added 25 points and 14 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side. Five Ginebra Kings players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.

Alaska Aces - Meralco Bolts 99-92

Alaska Aces saw off Meralco Bolts advancing into the Governors' Cup Finals. Alaska Aces made 24-of-27 charity shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Meralco Bolts were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American Mike Harris (198-83, college: Rice, agency: IPZ) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 14 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). Guard Jeron-Alvin Teng (190-94) contributed with 10 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Allen Durham (198-88, college: Grace Bible) replied with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 14 rebounds and guard Chris Newsome (187-90, college: N.Mexico Highlands) added 12 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists (made all of his eight free throws) in the effort for Meralco Bolts. Four Alaska Aces and five Meralco Bolts players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Here is the last round review presented by ESL. The most exciting game of round 7 in the PBA took place in Manila. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 4th placed SM Beermen (6-4) to first ranked Phoenix (9-2) 96-93 on Saturday evening. JUNE MAR FAJARDO Center June Mar Fajardo (210-C-89) had an amazing evening in the last round for SM Beermen, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 6. The 29-year old player had a double-double of 40 points and 19 rebounds, while his team beat Global Port (#10, 2-5) 113-107. SM Beermen is placed at 3rd position in Filipino PBA.
