Allen Durham
ALLEN DURHAM

American Power forward Allen Durham (198-F/C-88) put on an amazing game in the last round for Meralco Bolts, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 12.
The 30-year old player had a double-double of 35 points and 26 rebounds, while his team outclassed SM Beermen (#6, 6-5) with 30-point margin 111-81. Meralco Bolts is placed at 8th position in Filipino PBA. Meralco Bolts is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-6 record. In the team's last game Durham had a remarkable 61.1% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Meralco Bolts and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Former Grace Bible College star has very solid stats this year. Durham is in league's top in points (6th best: 28.6ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 18.4rpg), assists (2nd best: 7.4apg) and averages impressive 54.7% FGP. Worth to mention Durham played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

The second best player in last round's games was 30-year old American Justin Brownlee (197-F-88) of league's leader Ginebra Kings. Brownlee had a very good evening with a triple-double of 31 points, 16 rebounds and 11 assists. Of course he led Ginebra Kings to another comfortable win 112-93 over the lower-ranked TNT Ka Tropa (#9, 4-7) being unquestionably team leader. Of course Ginebra Kings still keep the league's top spot. His team lost just two games this season, while they won 9 matches. Brownlee is a newcomer at Ginebra Kings, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 31.8ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 12.9rpg and 6.9apg. Former St. John's University star Brownlee is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Aaron Fuller (198-F-89, agency: Haylett Sports) of NLEX RW (#7). Fuller showcased his all-around game by recording 29 points, twelve rebounds (!!!) and seven assists in the last round. Despite Fuller's great performance NLEX RW lost 101-107 to the lower-ranked Rain or Shine (#10, 3-7). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of NLEX RW ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 6 games, recording just five victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Fuller could help NLEX RW to bring them higher in the standings. Fuller has a great season in Philippines. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 31.9ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 17.1rpg (4th best). He also has 1.1bpg and FGP: 54.7%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Marqus Blakely (201-F-88) of TNT Ka Tropa - 23 points, 15 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Greg Slaughter (216-C-88) of Ginebra Kings - 25 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Christopher Tiu (183-PG-85) of Rain or Shine - 30 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists
7. Calvin Abueva (190-F-88) of Phoenix - 25 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Henry Walker (198-G/F-87) of Blackwater Elite - 21 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists
9. Kevin Murphy (197-G-90) of SM Beermen - 32 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Reynel Hugnatan (193-F-78) of Meralco Bolts - 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists
