MIKE HARRIS

35-year old Mike Harris (198-SF-83, agency: IPZ) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Alaska Aces and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 8.
He had a double-double of 39 points and 25 rebounds, while his team crushed, the league's bottom-ranked team Rain or Shine (#11, 0-4) with 17-point margin 106-89. Alaska Aces is placed at 3rd position in Filipino league. They are still close to the very top. Alaska Aces would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 5-1 record. In the team's last game Harris had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Alaska Aces' top player in his first season with the team. Rice University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Harris is in league's top in points (5th best: 26.7ppg) and averages solid 60.7% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Allen Durham (198-F/C-88) of Meralco Bolts. He is American forward in his 2nd season at Meralco Bolts. In the last game Durham recorded impressive double-double of 32 points and 21 rebounds. Bad luck as Meralco Bolts was edged by the higher-ranked Blackwater Elite (#2, 6-1) 94-91. Meralco Bolts is still in a red zone at 9th spot in the standings. 5 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Meralco Bolts managed to get this year. Durham is well-known at Meralco Bolts and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 26.3ppg (#6). His other stats are also decent: 17.2rpg and 7.5apg. Former Grace Bible College star Durham is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Romeo Travis (198-PF-84) of Hotshots (#4). Travis got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. He went also for fourteen rebounds and seven assists. He was a key player of Hotshots, leading his team to a 113-95 easy win against Columbian Dyip (#12, 0-8). Hotshots is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 5-1 record is not that bad... Travis has a great season in Philippines. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 16.0rpg (5th best). He also has 2.8spg and 1.2bpg.
