HENRY WALKER

31-year old swingman Henry Walker (198-G/F-87) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's best team Blackwater Elite and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 5.
He had the game-high 39 points adding seven rebounds and nine assists for Blackwater Elite in his team's victory, helping them to beat Ginebra Kings (#3, 3-1) 124-118. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Blackwater Elite to take over top position in the Filipino league. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Blackwater Elite already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Walker had a remarkable 88.9% from 2-point range and got six three-pointers out of 10 attempts. He turned to be Blackwater Elite's top player in his first season with the team. Kansas State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Walker is in league's top in points (3rd best: 30.3ppg), rebounds (6th best: 13.3rpg) and averages solid 1.5bpg,3.5spg and 61.2% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Justin Brownlee (197-F-88) of Ginebra Kings. He is American forward in his first season at Ginebra Kings. In the last game Brownlee recorded impressive 41 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Ginebra Kings lost that game 118-124 to league's leader Blackwater Elite (#1, 4-0). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Ginebra Kings still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 3-1 record is not bad at all. Brownlee is a newcomer at Ginebra Kings and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 36.8ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 11.3rpg and 6.0apg. Former St. John's University star Brownlee is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Allen Durham (198-F/C-88) of Meralco Bolts (#9). Durham showcased his all-around game by recording 16 points, thirteen rebounds (!!!) and nine assists in the last round. Despite Durham's great performance Meralco Bolts lost 86-96 to the higher-ranked Phoenix (#2, 4-1). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Meralco Bolts can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-3 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Durham he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Durham has individually a great season in Philippines. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 16.5rpg (3rd best) and assists with 7.5apg (5th best). Durham attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Arizona Reid (196-F-86) of SM Beermen - 16 points, 17 rebounds and 11 assists
5. Eugene Phelps (198-F-90) of Phoenix - 24 points, 19 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Christian Standhardinger (206-F-89) of SM Beermen - 21 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Jerramy King (183-PG-90) of Columbian Dyip - 22 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists
8. Jackson Corpuz (193-F-89) of Columbian Dyip - 28 points and 10 rebounds
9. Akeem Wright (200-F/G-84) of Columbian Dyip - 22 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists
10. Marcio Lassiter (190-G/F-87) of SM Beermen - 28 points, 2 rebounds and 7 assists
