Olu Ashaolu (ex Sendai 89ers) joins NLEX Road Warriors - Jul 11, 2018

Olu Ashaolu
NLEX Road Warriors (PBA) added to their roster 30-year old Canadian-Nigerian power forward Olu Ashaolu (200-88, college: Oregon). He played most recently at Sendai 89ers in Japanese B2 League, but left the team in Nov.'17. In 16 games he had very impressive stats: 18.5ppg, 7.6rpg and 2.2apg last season.
The previous (16-17) season Ashaolu played at San en NeoPhoenix (B League) in Japan where in 61 games he recorded 9.7ppg, 5.2rpg and 1.1apg. He helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in B League Central Division.
Ashaolu has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2012.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he won Japanese BJ League championship title in 2015. Ashaolu was also voted All-Japanese BJ League Honorable Mention back in 2015.
He was a member of Canadian U18 National Team in 2006.
Ashaolu's career allowed him to visit three different continents. He tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia and of course North America. Ashaolu has played previously professionally also in France (ALM Evreux) and Spain (Caceres Basket).
He attended University of Oregon until 2012 and it will be his seventh season as a professional player.

ROMEO TRAVIS Magnolia Hotshots (PBA) inked 33-year old American (has also FYR Macedonian passport) power forward Romeo Travis (198-110kg-84, college: Akron). He played most recently at Le Mans Sarthe Basket in French ProA. In 46 games he recorded 11.4ppg, 4.6rpg and 2.4apg last season.
