WAYNE CHISM

Magnolia Hotshots (PBA) added to their roster 31-year old American power forward Wayne Chism (206-111kg-87, college: Tennessee). He played last season at Al-Manama in Bahrain Premier League. In 27 games he recorded very impressive stats: 16.7ppg, 13.0rpg, 2.5apg, 1.9spg and 1.7bpg. Chism helped them to win the league title and the Supercup. A very spectacular season in his career as he was selected Asia-Basket.com All-Bahrain League Import Player of the Year and voted to 1st Team and voted to All-Imports Team.
The previous (16-17) season he played at NLEX Road Warriors where in 11 PBA games he averaged remarkable 23.5ppg, 14.1rpg, 2.5apg and 1.5bpg.
Chism is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in eight different countries. Chism tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in France (Aix Maurienne), Hungary (Alba, Sopron KC and Kaposvari), Israel (Galil Gilboa), Lebanon (Sagesse), Mexico (Aaguacateros), Turkey (Antalyaspor), Philippines (Rain or Shine) and NBA G League (Fort Wayne Mad Ants).
Chism attended University of Tennessee until 2010 and it will be his ninth season as a professional player.

Magnolia hacked out a difficult 77-71 win against Alaska in Game 2 of their best-of-7 PBA Governors' Cup finals at Araneta Coliseum Friday night. After struggling for most of the game, the Hotshots came up with stops in the fourth quarter and walked away with a 2-0 series lead. Alaska Aces - Hotshots 84-100 Hotshots outgunned Alaska Aces in the Governor's Cup Finals opener. The game was mostly controlled by Hotshots. Alaska Aces managed to win fourth quarter 26-23.
