Rodrigue Akl
NLEX Road Warriors (PBA) signed 28-year old Lebanese ex-international point guard Rodrigue Akl (187-82kg-88). He played this summer at Sagesse in Lebanese Pepsi LBL. In 37 games he had 3.9ppg, 3.1rpg and 2.6apg. He helped them to make it to the cup final. Akl won Dubai International Tournament championship title.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted Asia-Basket.com Lebanese League All-Domestic Players Team in 2012, 2013 and 2014.
Akl was also a member of Lebanese international program for some years. He played for Lebanese Senior National Team between 2009 and 2015 and previously for U19 National Team back in 2007. Akl represented Lebanon at the Asian Championships in Changsha-Hunan (China) last year. His stats at that event were 9 games: 1.1ppg, 1.7rpg, 2.2apg, 1.1spg.
Akl has played also professionally for other Lebanese teams like Al Riyadi, Anibal, Champville and Blue Stars.
He could be described: Great leader of the floor, best Lebanese Point Guard, leads his team and controls the tempo delivering assists to go. Improved his offense to become a big threat on 3 points and mid range. Complete player who got voted as MVP of all the League.
Reached a level at his early age that enables him to play anywhere in the big European Leagues

JUNE MAR FAJARDO Center June Mar Fajardo (210-C-89) had an amazing evening in the last round for SM Beermen, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 6. The 29-year old player had a double-double of 40 points and 19 rebounds, while his team beat Global Port (#10, 2-5) 113-107. SM Beermen is placed at 3rd position in Filipino PBA.
